Example Administrative Rules & Regulations

Adminstrative Rules and Regulations establish how a board operates - how many members it has, when it meets, and how it conducts public meetings and hearings. They also help new board members to understand the roles and responsibilities of the board. However, most planning boards operate without this important document.

BRPC has created a set of Example Administrative Rules and Regulations for local boards to use as a guide in adopting their own rules and regulations. Visit the Model Bylaws and Example Documents page for more details.

TIP Amendments

BRPC has completed amendments to the 2008-2011 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) The TIP is a prioritized multi year plan for transportation rehabilitation and construction projects as well as transit operations in the Berkshires, and is updated yearly. Amendments include adding projects, repositioning projects, increasing costs and changing funding sources for certain bridge projects and projects listed as “Part 1C Not In Target” (i.e. earmark projects).
Comments on the 2008-2011 TIP Amendments are due by Friday, May 23rd, and can be emailed or sent to the BRPC Offices.
