BRPC provides a broad spectrum of data resources and planning information to regional communities and public boards.

The general public, researchers, consultants and private interests can find most requested data on this website.

BRPC also maintains a library of planning-related resources available for public use which includes:

  • Studies on land use, environmental, transportation, and economic issues of regional and community interest;
  • Recent and past community plans: Master Plans, Open Space and Recreation Plans, and Land Use and Growth Plans.

Private businesses or individuals with specific data or information requests should contact BRPC for assistance. Requests requiring staff research usually require a fee for preparation.

Common Ground : Newsletter Data Inserts

The Berkshire Regional Planning Commission publishes a newsletter every two months, Common Ground, which reports on community and regional projects undertaken by BRPC planning staff, upcoming events and meetings, the status of current environmental reviews, and grants available, among other topics.

Common Ground issues between January/February 2002 and September/October 2004 included an insert providing analysis or information on Census 2000 data or other topics of regional interest. PDFs of the data inserts are linked here:
