CEDS Project Evaluation One of the principal responsibilities of the Berkshire CEDS Committee is to complete a regional economic development Action Plan with an implementation schedule of high priority projects and programs that fulfill the Berkshire CEDS Goals and Objectives. In an effort to garner a reasonably representative, regional evaluation of the projects, the CEDS Committee agreed that Committee members should individually score the economic development potential of each project, based on an agreed-upon set of standard economic development indices, such as job creation/retention, job quality, and local community and regional impacts. The scores will be used to set out the regional economic development Action Plan and the implementation schedule for priority projects. Get your project score sheets in MS Excel format HERE.
2004 Submitted Projects In May 2004, the Berkshire CEDS staff put out a request to municipal administrators, city mayors, town Select Boards, CDCs, Chambers of Commerce, and other economic development agencies througout the region for initial briefings on the economic development projects underway or planned in the Berkshires. In response, the CEDS staff received the 39 project briefs shown below. Please click on a link to open the briefs in PDF format. (See BRPC homepage for an Adobe Acrobat download link.)
