BRPC Online Mapping Program BRPC has created online maps to provide assistance to our communities. These maps allow for interactive viewing of many features and elements that citizens and government officials typically request. The online maps are divided into two main areas, the View, on the right, and the Frames, on the left. The frames on the left allow you to search for features on the map, turn features within the map on and off, and display an overview of where the View is located within Berkshire County. The tools, located in the upper left corner, allow you to pan the map screen, zoom in and out, and identify features on the map. For the frames on the left, open the windows by clicking the triangle. Clicking the + signs will expand the item to reveal more information. When you zoom into the map, more detail will come into view. The HELP button (in the upper right corner of the map screen) can provide additional help. Detailed instructions for using online mapping (Opens new browser window) The maps take time to load, so please be patient. A high-speed internet connection is advised. Online Maps Traffic Count Location Map (Opens new browser window) This map provides information on the location of BRPC, MassHighway, and private traffic counts that have taken place in the Berkshires. As you zoom into the map, additional roads and the count locations will be displayed. Using the Identify tool will allow you to get the traffic count numbers at each location. MEPA Review Map (Opens new browser window) This map provides information on Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act (MEPA) reviews in the Berkshires. Using the Identify tool will allow you to click on the project sites and see various types of projected impacts, including traffic impact, wetland , water and sewer impact, and impervious surface. BRPC’s online maps are intended for general planning purposes only, and shall not be used for engineering, survey, legal, or regulatory purposes. Use of the online mapping system indicates acceptance of these conditions. State, regional, local and private sources have supplied portions of online map data. Funding for BRPC’s online mapping program has been provided by the Massachusetts Executive Office of Transportation and the BRPC.
